Rama is a true Delhiite with an adventurous spirit that has taken her across the country. Her parents’ careers in Central Services exposed her to different cultures and ways of life from an early age, but it was her father’s love of mountaineering that truly ignited her wanderlust. She completed her schooling from KVS, Delhi, and then pursued her Hons in History from Delhi University in 1994. From a very young age Rama has been honing her leadership skills by leading adventure trips for schools after completing her Basic Mountaineering courses with NIM – Uttarkashi. However, a knee injury forced Rama to pivot away from mountaineering and towards other passions.
After earning a Travel and Tourism Diploma and a Degree in Public Relations from BVB S.P College, Rama began her corporate journey in Hotel Marketing and Management with Shilon Resorts, Leisure Hotels and then the ITC Welcom Heritage Group as Manager – Sales . In this period of about a decade, she gained hands-on experience in the fields of Data Optimisation and administration. In 2002, she co-founded The Consortium, with a vision to help standalone properties and spread her passion for hospitality backed by her experience and intrinsic skills.
Today, Rama specializes in the realm of ownership relations, property operations, and marketing strategies. Her forward-thinking mindset and passion for cultivating unique guest experiences provide the creative spark and competitive edge needed to grow the bottom line. She firmly believes in truth over diplomacy, and that the key lies in the data.

When her professional obligations temporarily recede, she gracefully retreats to her garden, where she wields a spade, or a literary masterpiece, seamlessly attuning herself to her inner Zen. She discovers solace and respite, allowing her thoughts to meander within the embrace of nature. Indulging her insatiable thirst for creative expression, she ardently devotes her time indoors to incessant ideation, ceaselessly nurturing the seeds of inspiration that blossom within her imaginative realm.
